Nivan Ferreira Professor Adjunto (Assistant Professor) |
About | ||
I'm a professor working in the Centro de Informatica at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. I am part of the CIn.AI research group. I finished my Ph.D. NYU-Polytechnic School of Engineering under the supervision of Claudio Silva. My thesis on visual analytics techniques for exploration of spatiotemporal data can be found here. I also have been a visiting professor at Université Paris-Saclay (2022) working with the Aviz Group and Postdoctoral scholar with the HDC Group at the University of Arizona (2015). My research focuses on information visualization and visual analytics. I'm also very interested on machine learning and applied mathematics. |
