Welcome to the Process Management and Improvements in Software Engineering (PROMISE) web page

The activities of the PROMISE Group are currently organized in three areas of research:
  • Risk Management
  • Agile Methodology
  • Software Quality

Research on Risk Management is mainly focused on methods and techniques for evaluation, using software uncertainty insertion as core enabling technology. Ontology and Case Based Reasoning is also an important focus of the research of the PROMISE Group on risk evaluation.

Agile Methodology and Software Quality based software development issues, namely experimental risk assessment and risk-based testing techniques, and software verification and validation are another set of research topics of the group.

The PROMISE Group is also highly involved in research on management in heterogeneous environments, with emphasis on performance and quality of service, multiple projects, and portfolio management.
