R4ll Domain Feature Model Simplfied
The Figure depicted in this page shows the domain feature model using the (Kang et al., 1990) notation, which was adapted and simplified for this study purpose's. Due to the scope of the study, three variabilities (Authentication, Fine and Details) were defined, since they are usually used in any library application. Moreover, they can be encapsulated as possible services, since a system may track authentication and fine operations from distinct applications. For a better understanding of the feature model, the commonalities are related to Renting, Access Control and Item features and its mandatory sub features, such as Authentication, Fine and Details. Most of the libraries have rental management for every item available for a particular user, and an access control for authenticating the users in remote places. On the other hand, the variabilities are related to Password type, Card, FingerPrint, PenaltyForDealy, PenaltyForViolation and Comments.
