Primary Data

The following data sets were used in this work:

• SIR-C SAR image from October 1994, bands L and C, HH and HV polarizations, approximately 8 looks;
• topographic map at 1:250,000 scale;
• Ten annual Landsat TM images, bands 3, 4 and 5, from years 1984 to 1993;
• regeneration stage map derived from Landsat TM images;
