H. F. Bassani is graduated in Computer Science from University of Brasilia (2003), MSc (2007), and PhD (2014) in Computational Intelligence, both from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). He has experience in machine learning, pattern recognition, and image processing. He participated in several research projects and has published his works in scientific conferences mostly related with the study and applications of Artificial Neural Networks. Nowadays, he works on a research project formed by UFPE and the São Francisco's Hydroelectric Company (CHESF) to develop a robot for automated monitoring of electrical substations. Currently, his research interests are focused on modeling brain and cognitive phenomena, such as the natural language acquisition by embodied agents.
