Presentation Title: Error Handling: To Be or Not To Be (Modular)? Short Bio. Fernando Castor holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a B.Sc in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at UFPE and holds a CNPq Research Productivity fellowship. Fernando is interested in developing techniques, tools, and methods to ease the construction and maintenance of large-scale dependable systems. His main research areas are Software Modularity, Error Handling, Concurrent Programming, and more recently, Software Energy Consumption. Fernando has (co-) authored more than 70 papers in these areas. |
